Tackling the Digital Divide
According to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, 97% of urban households have access to high-speed internet, compared to only 37% in rural communities. We support any project, anywhere, that helps bring high-speed connectivity to you.
Spanning the Coast
Our support of the Connected Coast project will help bring new or improved high-speed internet accessibility to 139 rural and remote communities along the BC coast, from north of Prince Rupert to Haida Gwaii, south to Vancouver, and around Vancouver Island.
Going Where We’re Needed
Since 1996, we’ve placed tens of thousands of kilometres of fibre optic cable across Western Canada, and we’ve worked in all kinds of environments and weather conditions to help connect Canadians’ homes and businesses to the online world.
How We Work with You
A streamlined process.
We pride ourselves on delivering civil, HFC, and fibre optic design and construction services to communities across Western Canada, and we have the equipment and expertise to work in the most remote areas. Personable, transparent, and honest in our communications, we’re committed to bringing you the best service possible through our customer-centric philosophy and to making your broadband vision a reality.
1. Preliminary Consultations
We meet with you to discuss and determine options, taking your community’s or organization’s specific needs into account and laying out a comprehensive plan to achieve our goals together. We recognize many stakeholders and decision makers do not have extensive telecom experience, and we ensure all communication is customized in a way our customers will understand to help guide the best technical and budgetary decisions. Technical areas for you to consider include terrestrial wireline, wireless, or sub-sea access, depending on your unique conditions. This phase ends when we present our preliminary design and costs to you.
2. Successful Broadband Grant Applications
For communities and organizations in remote communities, there may be governmental funding available for your network upgrade! Our consulting team is here to partner with your community to help navigate the complex world of government grant applications, permitting, and third-party access agreements to facilitate your community’s rightful access to broadband connectivity.
3. Construction and Activation
Once the plan is in place, we deploy the appropriate teams to carry out the permitting and civil and network construction all the way through to network activation. We’re also happy to offer ongoing support after the completion of the project.
